About Wade Emmert
Dallas County is in desperate need of experienced leadership. During challenging times, we must get back to the fundamentals of good government and experienced leadership.
Dallas County faces serious challenges:
- Transportation infrastructure is aging and overloaded with little help in sight.
- Environmental policies which are out of date.
- Air quality is so poor, we have elevated rates of respiratory problems in our children and the elderly.
Wade has spent the better part of a decade in public service. Over the years, he has developed the experience to confront the challenges Dallas County faces. He has developed a reputation of working with people across city boundaries and party lines.
That’s why so many area officials and business leaders from both parties have already pledged their support.
Wade is in his sixth year on the Cedar Hill City Council. Wade also serves as a member and Chair-Elect of the Board of Directors of the Best Southwest Partnership and is a member of the Hospital Advisory Board for Methodist Charlton Medical Center. He is a past member and President of the Cedar Hill Economic Development Corporation and was named “Civic Leader of the Year” in 2003.
A strong proponent of regionalism, Wade has successfully built coalitions with key leaders across city and party lines giving him a unique perspective as a leader in south Dallas County.
A partner in one of the oldest law firms in Dallas, Wade has been recognized by Texas Monthly and Law & Politics magazines as one of the top attorneys in Texas.
Wade is a devoted husband and dad. He is married to Michelle, and they have two young boys, Walker and Will. Wade is intimately involved in his church and enjoys time with his family.
