CHEDC Board welcomes new members, elects new officers
July 12, 2004
The CHEDC board elected a new slate of officers and welcomed two new members during its July meeting.
Wade Emmert, chair of the Cedar Hill Economic Development Corporation, gave up his post after being elected to city council in May. Vice-president Michael Mitchell was unanimously voted into the top spot while Johnny Wallace was unanimously elected to serve as Vice-chair.
Newcomers to the board are Aaron Ford, litigation attorney for the downtown Dallas firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manages, and William Carter, president of Prosperity Bank.
Before turning over the gavel to Mitchell, Emmert shared a word of thanks and gave the board a charge to continue serving the city with integrity and quality.
“This is one of the most influential boards in Cedar Hill because it often has a direct impact on the direction our city takes,” he said. “Continue focusing on the city’s vision while being a premier board of directors.”

My name is Wade Emmert and I am a Council Member for the City of Cedar Hill. This web site is a way for me to share with you some of my thoughts about issues important to the City.
